Chi Duong is a Communication for Development practitioner and a gender advocate. With eight years in marketing and communication, including six years dedicated to community development, her experiences with NGOs, social enterprises, and marginalized communities have strengthened her belief that those closest to injustice hold the knowledge to transform it. Through this hands-on work, she has practiced communication as an intentional way to shift power, allowing unheard voices to reclaim power and become the center of their own stories. This philosophy was deepened through her Master of Arts in Communication for Development at Malmö University (Sweden) and by practicing education for peace at International People’s College (Denmark). She brings this contemplative dedication to Children of Vietnam’s mission, ensuring that every narrative nurtures justice, dignity, and a more peaceful world, both within ourselves and with one another.
