After graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in mechanical engineering, Brad pursued a career in medicine. He finished Wake Forest University School of Medicine, then completed a residency in general surgery, eventually completing a fellowship in vascular surgery.

In recent years, he has not only continued his medical career but also been more committed to community service. His volunteer work includes serving at the Samaritan Ministries/Soup Kitchen, Crisis Control Ministry, and the Community Care Center. Brad’s dedication to helping others is further demonstrated by his longstanding support for Children of Vietnam (COV), which started with his friendship with founder, Ben Wilson, whom he met at church almost 40 years ago.

In early 2024, Brad visited Da Nang and the surrounding areas to witness firsthand the impactful work of COV and its dedicated team. His commitment to the cause and his medical expertise make him a valuable addition to the board of COV. Brad brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and a strong sense of service, which will greatly benefit the organization and the children it serves.

Brad is also the proud father of a wonderful daughter and son, now both adults.
